Southeast Shelby County Medical Rescue was founded in 1982 in Columbiana, Alabama. We currently serve the southern area of Shelby County. Southeast Shelby Rescue is an ALS (Advanced Life Support) Transport Provider, licensed through the State of Alabama. We operate out of (3) three stations and have a staff of 45 along with numerous Volunteers. We staff (4) four 24 hour transport units and our volunteers man non-transport units.
Southeast Shelby Rescue is funded by donations and ambulance transport billing.
Donation mailers are sent at the end of the calendar year, with a second request sent during the 1st quarter of the following year.
